I am...
Presentations: It's really not a bad class and I can actually see it being helpful in the future, it's just that we are done with lecture on Monday and that's it… nothing but presentations till the end of the semester. We each have 4 presentations we do on our own and then we have to introduce 4 other presenters as well and then each have to be a camera operator and a room assistant at least once. All of this involves professional dress and...blah it's stupid. We make everything up; we are real people in fictional future careers giving a professional presentation to a fictional audience, made up of our classmates, who all could give a shit. The End.Facilities: Seems interesting in theory: we learn about design, flow, regulations and we draw and layout and all that shit I LOVE, however we are placed in groups (not chosen by us) and are given a restaurant concept that must be within one mile of campus and cater to the surrounding area. We got seafood for a concept, in North Texas, and The University of North Texas. I'm not sure if you know the overall type of students at my university: Metal head, punk rock, liberal arts, pot head, bra burners (I fit into at least two of those) who smell like fish and would rather not eat it. We made our menu, everything is frozen, breaded and deep fried, and even the concept is greasy.
The Internship: I did find a job. I never really addressed this. I got a call back form the big interview the very week school started, and since the internship had a few blow off weeks designed into it, I was able to still enroll and take the class which means that I will graduate in December. That's the one thing to look out toward amongst the original recipe that my semester has become. I would rather have extra crispy. Anyway the internship is good, I like the work and the pay is decent. The people are nice and my boss is cute, however the class itself leaves alot to be desired. We have to turn in time & admin logs, an objectives overview, we have to develop a 5-8 page case study over an operational problem we have witnessed, present that case study on campus to the class, as well as do group discussions online about "how was your week" and do weekly quizzes over other crap, which I seem to always forget. Busy work is for hookers not me. I know and shut up!
Bobby is in Ireland this week, on a training adventure. I've talked to him twice since he's been there and he inevitably always seems to mention the cute guys in the class. This one was dark and cute...this other guy..tall and cute...and this one is the leader and CUTE! He cracks me up, and I think he's cute.
Ack! Sending energy dance your way.
